Robyn Rihanna Fenty, often called Rihanna by Barbadians, is a songwriter and singer. Her hits are Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella, and Take a Bow. She is a very popular artist who has sold over 41 million albums across the globe as well as more than 150 million tracks. Her parents were from Barbados, and she started singing in the early years of her life. Due to the chaos that surrounded her family as well as the disputes her parents had with each other, she decided to take up music. She soon decided that she wanted to pursue a career as an artist. In high school she was a part of a band group and was invited to sing for Evan Rodgers. The producer was very impressed with the ability of this girl. His request was that she be relocated into New York and pursue a professional singing career. Rihanna was thrilled to accept. Her debut album quickly went viral and she was called the next big thing in music. Young people adored the songs that were upbeat, and this led Rihanna to create films. She is a young, accomplished woman, who is now an icon of fashion and popular teenager. Rihanna put her celebrity to great use through being taking part in various charity causes.
