Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who started her career through smart raps that addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a the most comical of perspectives. Then she branched out to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical encounter. She was a trumpet player. Alongside classical music and jazz, Nora Lum started to study hip-hop during her teens. After concentrating on education, she graduated with the degree of journalist in college and a women's studies degree. After graduating, she began to pursue music as her main focus. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet and was later released on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also included other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC BitcheUSD. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide published in 2015. This was an additional project. Alongside having a book published as well, she also worked singing. In addition to early television shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of notable films like Dude Ocean's Eight as well as Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP In Fina We Trust.
