Alanis Nadine was born in Ottawa, Canada, on the 1st June, 1974. Alanis' Greek is a female form of Alan's father's surname. Georgia is the full name of her mother and she shares two brothers named Chad along with Wade. She first started playing guitar and piano when she was just 21. Alanis dropped a single in the year 1986 titled Fate Stay With Me (b-side : Find The Right Man). Within Canada, Alanis recorded two dance-pop records: Alanis (in the year 1991) and Now Is The Time in 1992. When she was 18, she left NY to Toronto which is where her collaborative efforts with writers and musicians did not work. Glen Ballard was the producer/songwriter she picked in the year 1994. Glen has previously collaborated with Aretha Frankin, Michael Jackson and Barbra Strreisand. After moving to LA the singer turned 19. The Madonna's Maverick Records released the song "Jagged Little Pill" in June 13th 15th, 1995. Alanis's tracks were autobiographical.
